The
Nokia Card Phone is 5 mm thick and weighs just 58 grams. It plugs
into a compatible device with a type II PC Card slot - laptops and
portable faxes - to give you communications capability for voice,
email and the Internet (compatible with Windows 95, 98 and NT).
The
Nokia Card Phone supports fast data transmission in High
Speed Circuit Switched Data (HSCSD)
networks. This will allow
customers to send data and access the internet at 28.8 BPS*, 3
times faster than current data cards and as fast as the average
home personal computer.
The
Nokia Card Phone provides dual-band coverage, operating in GSM 900
and GSM 1800 networks. This will allow ability to roam at either
9.6kb/s or 28.8 where network is compatible. *There
is an additional £5 monthly charge for triple speed data
connection.
